PATCH preschool pallet garden building
A Healthy Clendenin and PATCH daycare teamed up to build a pallet garden, with pallets donated by Ore's Hardware of Clendenin. The children will plant, grow, and eat vegetables in this garden, learning where fruits and vegetables come from and how they taste. The hope is to encourage more fruit and vegetable intake, because if the children have more work and time invested in growing the plants, they may be more likely to eat, or at least try, what they've grown. More pictures and stories will likely follow as the garden grows and prospers and the children get to sample their harvest.
